Kazakhstan 🇰🇿

All services and assistance provided are free of charge.

UNHCR works in Kazakhstan to support the government in ensuring quality asylum procedures, resolving and preventing new cases of statelessness, and protecting the rights of refugees, asylum-seekers, and stateless people in line with international law and standards.

UNHCR works closely with NGO partners to monitor access to asylum procedures, support the integration of refugees, and help stateless people confirm their legal status, access basic rights, and apply for citizenship.

If you need help applying for asylum, if your asylum claim has been rejected, or if you are stateless and have never received identity documents (such as a Kazakhstani identity card) or still hold an old USSR passport, UNHCR partners can assist you free of charge.

For more details and contact information, please see the Contacts of UNHCR and partners in Kazakhstan section below.
